With the introduction to the Caldari Rail Rifle yesterday, I thought the weapon design was beautiful. Even though I'm Gallente that rifle look like it had a Gallente Plasma Rifle design. The stats on the weapon was amazing, performance wise I rated this weapon a D+ . Unlike the amazing Minmatar Combat Rifle that has great performance on the battlefield, the Caldari Rail Rifle came out of the box with horrible limitations I skilled into the Rifle at proto levels Day 1. The issues the rifle faced was a 0.25 sec delay on the (Assault Variant ) before the first coil round was fired the enemy was already effectively engaging you. The second issue this rifle faced was a 42 round clip size, not only are you delayed in engaging targets but your clip size is limited as well. In a war zone rifles are designed to fire rounds in multiple succession to either suppress or destroy the enemy.
In New Eden the Scrambler Rifle is king of rifles, it has a good balance between its variants and it's power is unmatched if your stupid to directly attack a mercenary using that weapon. Even though so many mercenaries love the scrambler rifle I wanted to be different and use a Caldari Rail Rifle to directly compete against the Scrambler Rifle but due to the 0.25 sec delay and smaller clip size I was on the ground dead in seconds ( scramble eggs) dead. The Caldari Rail Rifle is a well crafted weapon but the performance of the weapon is horrible and too costly to maintain. Even the Minmatar Combat Rifle (Assault Variants) are too expensive but has better Battlefield performance than the Caldari Rail Rifle. The Caldari Rail Rifle should be reviewed on it's performance limitations in battle because this rifle's performance in battle should be alot better based on the numbers . The Caldari Rail Rifle could be the counter to the massive Scrambler Rifle usage for Plasma Assault Rifle lovers such as myself that needs a weapon that can shoot at range to directly compete against the Scrambler Rifle. I'm sick of pre firing at enemies to kill them when they can fire a volley of rounds in rapid succession to counter my attack when I'm wielding the Caldari Rail Rifle. I wanna level the playing field with my new weapon.
1. Take off that 0.25 sec delay for ( Assault Variant) Caldari Rail rifle
2. 42 clip size magazine should be increased to 60 ( Assault Variant)
Let's even the the odds in battle. |

The charge up time isn't a big deal and the mag size isn't either since it fires somewhat slow and hits hard
the iron sights on the assault variant are horrible, by far the worst in the game
Pre firing the weapon is the only solution at the moment, iron sights isn't a issue for me, I'm a slayer, Aiming is what I do but that delay time and clip size is a major issue for the Assault version of the weapon. |

I feel like the assault version of the Caldari Rail Rifle should feel like a Assault Rifle it says assault on the SL-4 description and the prototype description says assault as well. Drawbacks that's clever way of describing the assault version of the weapon. I describe it as crippling the weapons versatility. |

With the combat rifle I see, it's like an SMG with longer range but Rail Rifle?
Kirk we gotta test all these new weapons out. See you in a minute if your on Dust 514 |

In addition, it has the longest range, and TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT hip fire. Remove that 0.25 sec delay and it would be hands down the BEST weapon in Dust.
Cat I love assault anything I like assaulting people take the 0.25 sec delay off the my Caldari Steel and watch the destruction. If the Carthum Rifle can shoot rapidly, my Caldari Rail needs to compete. |

I consistently get Protoype armour-tanked suits down to near-death while they're shooting me with their own Rail Rifle or with a Combat Rifle. In a long-range encounter, I managed to kill one armour-tanked Protosuit while both he AND a second Proto player were shooting at me, one with a Combat Rifle and the other with a Duvolle.
I'm still iffy about TTK, but this particular "problem" seems to be working as intended.
Other weapons have their own drawbacks that they come with and you can't change. Maybe they're more subtle, because their advantages aren't as strong as what the Rail Rifle gets. That's why they're balanced. If you're bad with the Rail Rifle, that's not the gun's fault. Use something you're good with, and you'll perform better.
First of all noob why would I be bad at a weapon because the weapon lacks versatility. I just want the weapon to live up to the ASSAULT description. Second germ you don't know who you're talking to, I hope I see you in battle because my Caldari Rail Rifle will be speaking to you inside your red line, I master weapons like you get put into red lines and can't come out. Those two kills you talk about you were probably hiding in a corner camping or up somewhere high out of reach because if you ever face me you'll be on the forums crying about the Caldari Rail Rifle being over powered. Don't assume I'm bad with a weapon because I have tested and observed the weapon's overall performance lol make sure you camp well every battle because I know for fact you suck noob !! |

CR will win in a close quarter range but RR will win in a mid range battle. Guys, it's time to look at map design and what weapon will be better for that map design. The game isn't a one weapon fits all maps anymore.
True but the ASSAULT variants of a weapon should more of the versatile model for all situations. |

Wow, hostile much? You pluck at me with that RR, I'll take my armor tanked suit with a charge sniper rifle and collect your head. Dude's got valid points, this is forum for expressing opinions, whether you like them or not, so if I were you I'd STFU and worry about fixing your broken, dead ass rotting corpse of an alliance. How's that for hostile? Ok how about you first stop sniping in your Red line coward get a real weapon and get murdered. Because everyone knows if you skilled into sniping you suck lol the only way your getting kills my friend is way in the back of the map and that's just what cowardly players do, they use charge sniper rifles because they get dominated on the ground Good way to help your team in the Red line hahahahahaha. Your a joke scrub !!! |

Excillon you just admitted you sit in a heavy suit with a CHARGE SNIPER RIFLE, in the RED LINE and snipe. You are a sorry excuse of a player. You are abusing the red line security for your team to be safe. By your hostile reactions only lets me know you get Red lined often and it hurts you to the core to know that your such a awful player .You are powerless to stop your team from getting red line so you begin the game in defeat by choosing pick up your sniper rifle and watch your team get murdered in battle. Man you suck bro and Red line sniping is frowned upon, it's a coward way to snipe just remember when your in that red line sniping you did nothing to help your team earn that win and when you lose everyone will say," that awful scrub Excillion sat in the red line the whole game camping to kill someone." Scrub tactics don't win games Excillon, I'll make sure to drop a orbital on you in your safe cozy camp site in your Red line when I play you scrub lol !!!!! |

Try and compare the breach AR with your railrifle. I would like to have the same range on my breach ar as your railrifle.
Good point but what about 0.25 delay ? |
